What’s a good Keyfund project for 16 to 18 year olds?

Get away

Planned trips to places such as Alton Towers or paint balling. Hey, we know Alton Towers is still fun when you are a little older too! But we’d expect you to be learning even more and to come up with even better plans as you are a little older now.

A more sophisticated day out! Or a great day out for others

Keyfunders have organised events for themselves and others, such as meals out, various day trips and adventure days. Maybe there are disadvantaged groups who find it difficult to get out and about alone who you can help? This takes a lot of maturity and responsibility from you – but you may just be up to it! What do you think? 

Making music

Some groups have started bands and the grants have paid for recording fees and new instruments and equipment. Again, we’d want you to think about who you were making music for and maybe you’ll learn a little about the music business too? Have a think, get organised, get busy and get famous!

Get your voice heard and maybe even make the world a better place

Groups of young people have become involved in their community using the grant to improve certain areas, for example, stopping the closure of public facilities, buying items for the community or items which certain groups of people will benefit from. Does your school, college or work place recycle properly? Can you help the environment with your ideas? Have a think… 

The next Richard Branson or Anita Roddick?

Small enterprises have also been started using the Keyfund grant. Do you have a small, do-able business idea which we should be chatting about? Business planning is tricky, but the rewards can be great.
